Sailor Boy.....

Once again I have procrastinated and waited too long to post. Quite frankly I am getting bored with Blogger and finding myself much more often using Facebook to post what is going on and new pics/videos.

Today I went to an awesome children's consignment sale at the fairgrounds. It was a couple buildings full of old, and some new, stuff for kids. There were strollers, car seats, furniture, clothes and toys. I, however, pretty much just went to the clothes to check things out. I ended up getting Abishai a few nice button up shirts from The Children's Place and some pants and a new crib bumper that he can play around with. (If you remember, I made him the other one that has SILK on one side and is not machine washable, I will learn from that mistake, but, at least it was pretty). So anyway, the bumper is safari animals, it goes with the theme, yay!

Here are a few recent pics of the little man. He will be turning 6 months next weekend. He is getting so huge!!

Also, side note, we are puppy parents again to 5 little Maltese pups! They are doing very well and need very little attention from me, which is great!.

This is one little outfit I bought today. I wasn't more than 5 bucks. I thought it would really look cute in portraits!

This is at my cousins wedding that we went to in NJ last weekend. It was pretty chilly there!!
Me before the wedding, it was nice to dress up for a change.

Playing with the color settings on the camera.
Us before bath time. He has really grown a lot!!

Something New!

So I didn't get back to blogging as quick as I had hoped. Here are some new pics of Abishai's new additions. He is doing pretty well with them. It was only difficult the first couple days. He is sleeping a lot better now and he's a lot less fussy. I am not giving him food yet, but I am giving him things to suck on in the mesh feeder. The Dr. said there's no rush to give him real food yet. So for now he's trying new things here and there. He still won't take a bottle, so I guess we are still attached at the.....hip...yeah. :)

Ok here we go...

First off, a cute little giraffe.
Ok, here they are! I can't believe he's getting teeth already. My baby's not a baby anymore!!
Doing some tummy time, still no crawling though.
Sucking on some apples. He liked those and strawberries.

That's the latest for now. Thanks for checking in on us!!

Our Trip to Wisconsin.....

Last week we spent about 4 days in Wisconsin visiting Andy's dad side of the family. It was great fun!! Beautiful cool weather and tons of laughs!! We have been planning on going up there for a while but the timing has not been good with an impending baby arriving. So we finally got there after Abishai turned 4 months. I was very leery of taking a newborn on airplanes.   Anyway, we got a chance to take Andy's grampa Rod fishing. He apparently loves to fish!! We also had a picnic with family that I never met before. Sorry I don't have a lot of pictures. I know Neika has some on her camera that I need to get also.  Here are some that I do  have.

The view from the fishing boat.

Neika caught the first one!! I think it may have been the biggest too.

Andy's dad Steve and his cousin Phillip, with Abishai

Andy with his Grampa, Rod.
Amy, her husband Jesse and Anna
Andy's little fish, had to let that one live.
The cousins the day we left.

We were sad to say goodbye but we hope to get back and visit again before too long.

Another big milestone that I failed to mention, Abishai has two teeth!! It is crazy how much he is growing! I really can't believe it. He's not a little baby anymore! Here's a pic of him from today. I don't however have a good pic of the teeth yet. That will be coming later.

Trying to eat a rice cookie. He can't really hold on to it yet.

More blogging to come....

What's been going on...

I don't really know what the usual protocol for this is but last night we finally broke down and let Abishai have a taste of cereal. He got pretty frustrated because he couldn't suck on the spoon. He did get some down though. We tried it again today and he did really well opening his mouth and suck down some of the cereal but he did end up wearing a lot of it. He doesn't quite get the idea but that's ok, I don't want him to start eating me out of house and home yet!! He really wants to keep his hands in his mouth all day so we figured we'd try something different.  I didn't take any pics yet of him actually eating it but I did take one of his sitting in his Bumbo seat on the table. He is holding himself up really well now so that seat comes in handy when I want to do things in the kitchen. Here are a couple recent pics.

Taking a nap on mommy and daddy's bed...He looks so huge!!
Jumper in the jumperoo...

Mommy and Abishai on the couch...
Sitting up in his chair...
Napping in the swing, I had to take a pic of his cute outfit I found at Target. I love the colors!! (I actually matched him for the day but we never got a pic :(
That's all for now, until we take some more pictures!!

Another VA trip....

This past weekend we all traveled down to VA to visit my dad and my sis, Nova. (My step-mom, Christine is in Kuwait working.) It was a very relaxing weekend. Nova and I took Abishai to the Virginia Living Museum to see the fish and wildlife, while my dad and Andy went golfing. We enjoyed some good cooking, thanks to dad and Andy!! Oh, I almost forgot, I was finally introduced to the game of Wii. I thought I had fallen in love. :) It was pretty fun and I beat Andy most of the time in golf and bowling!! Maybe one day we will get one of these things, not sure yet though. Here are some pics  from the weekend.

Va trip to see Grandma and Grampa Len.

This past weekend I took Abishai to visit my mom and step-dad. We had a nice, quiet ride down, and no so peaceful ride home. Nonetheless, it was a nice weekend visiting family and friends. I got to get together with two of my good girlfriends from high school. Rachel has an almost two year old and Nicole is due any time now with her first, a baby boy. Here are a few pics from my trip.

Lately.......

Here are a few pics of what we have bee doing. Abishai is getting bigger by the day. He is starting to get used to taking baths and he likes to sleep on his belly. ( I know they're not supposed to but I am sitting right there!) This past weekend some of my moms side of the family came to visit and meet Abishai. We grilled out and took some family pics. It was a little difficult with the sun. We do look kinda silly. Also we had some improvement to our kitchen. New sink and counter!! I am loving it!!

I colored and cut my sisters hair, she had some things needing to be fixed..

We had a bunny in our yard a few times and I guess she thought it was a safe place to leave her babies. Did she not see the obnoxious dogs?! Andy caught these and put them in a front yard bush that the bunny frequents.  And heck no I am not keeping them!!
